Honey

Four colorful beehives on a wooden stand in a sunny forest clearing.

Our Hives

There are four hives at Douglas Orchard & Farm. Our bee keeper extracts our honey and bottles it for us, raw and unpasteurized.

The Secret to the Best Honey

When you think of honey, two words should pop in your head, local and raw.  Raw honey has not been heated above 118 degrees Fahrenheit and has not been pasteurized.  The main benefits come from a unique blend of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and antioxidants.  Locally produced honey, which will contain pollen spores picked up by the bees from local plants, introduces a small amount of allergen into your system. Theoretically, this can activate your immune system and over time build up your natural immunity against it.

Available at Our Country Store

We sell one and two pound jars of honey. We often have honey comb and live bee pollen too.   Also available are flavored honey sticks and honey filled hard candy.
